i always wondered why you weren't a vegetarian, i mean you seem like such a wonder person too eat meat. i mean i'm glad you got pregnant from eating meat but i've been a vegetarian since i was 13 (now 22) i mean i personally still don't approve of anyone (that's not a carnivore animal) that eat meat but it's not like my comment will change anything. i've just been a huge fan of your channel since i was 15 or 16

This is how I feel exactly! We eat meat “sparingly” for us that means mostly dinners not every night. If I eat it I like to know where it’s been and we try not to waste it. I think god it perfect and all knowing and he created animals for our use as well as for us to be “stewards” over meaning we have a responsibility to not take these beautiful creatures for granted and if a life has to be taken it should be done as ethically as possible!

I am sure the animal appreciates that you give them thanks before you eat it's not the Circle of Life when are great white jumps on a Surfer we just send out boats and kill any sharks in the area we don't need to eat animal products everything you can get in meat you can get in animal products I have been vegan for 4 years and feel great I did it for health reasons originally and then I saw how disgusting animals were being threat day-old chicks being grinded and suffocated piglets before a week old being attacked teeth clipped tails cut off and testicles ripped out of their body without any anaesthetic baby calves either being taken for the bail industry so we can drink the milk or being stamped on because before 24hrs you can kill them Blunt Force trauma this is not the circle of life this is man being disgusting

I was a vegetarian for a number of years, and attempted veganism for a while as well. I always felt tired and my stomach always hurt. It wasn't until I went paleo and cut out grains, dairy, and sugar that I truly felt better. If you like being vegan, that's great for you, but it isn't for everyone. I felt like hell with animal products in my diet.

The only way reconcile meat eating with a conscious is to teach.your children to suspend empathy which is something I am very uncomfortable doing, but if others can reign in their empathy for living creatures enough to feel comfortable consuming them than why wouldn't they be omnivores? ( assuming they like meat)

I think we need to realize that all people are not the same. A 70% seal blubber diet is ideal for Innuits living in their native land but you feed that same diet to the average person of German descent living in Texas and they will not be doing well. Some people need high animal protein diets other do not. Personally I feel really unwell when I eat meat, but need the fats I get from my dairy in vegetarian diet.

I'm unsubscribing. I feel like you could be vegan if you really wanted to. Veganism takes a lot of research and it takes time to adjust to your body.

I am a dialysis patient. Dialysis strips protein from your body. It would be impossible for me to get sufficient protein from plant-based foods to make up the difference I need, first of all because plant-based proteins are very high in potassium, which builds up in my bloodstream and WILL KILL ME QUICKLY if it is too high. Dialysis patients need about 10 ounces of animal-based protein every day or we will suffer terrible cramps, debilitating weakness, fatigue, and severe infections, leading to a slow and lingering death. Given that choice, which really isn't a choice, I'm definitely eating animals. Thank you.

Ive had a similar experience to you. I tried a plant based diet for a month, vegetarian for 6 months, but its not for me. I dont do well with alot of carbohydrates as im hypoglycemic, so purely plant based isnt a great choice for my health. That said i do still eat alot of beans, lentils and veggies, and also try to buy higher welfare chicken. I hardly ever eat beef or pork because i dont feel very healthy afterwards. Ive been looking for more youtubers who arent vegan so glad i found you! I keep hearing about Nourishing Traditions- might have to read that one day. Thanks ☺ xx

Meat can't be humanely raised. "meat" aka animals are raised and then killed without having any desire to have their life shortened, or put on this earth for our consumption. Death without consent is never humane. Personally, I think it's hypocritical to eat meat unless you can shoot or electrocute your "meat" yourself every single time, not passing off that duty to someone else. That's my opinion. Not to mention that farming, even grass-fed, is not a sustainable practice.

Veganism CAN work for anyone at any stage in life. You don't need to be a raw vegan. You need a balanced diet if you're going to be vegan and very few people who go raw stay raw. I had a really hard time listen to your justifications in this video. To me, it's just a way to wiggle around a cruel lifestyle that our environment can't sustain. The end. Please do a little more research before ruling veganism (or even vegetarianism) out.

I was a vegan for over a year and a half.My husband and I tried this lifestyle at the same time mostly for ethical but also for some vanity reasons. All the vegans mostly on YouTube seemed to be thriving! I just wanted to find out what they were experiencing and the beautiful high fruit mostly raw. It started with Freely the banana girl. She gave me courage to start this lifestyle knowing the tools she used like raw till four and so on. Before this I had a year on paleo, before that mostly vegetarian, with unhealthy bacon and so on. About ten years on and off full vegetarian to mostly. Finally on the mostly raw vegan raw till four I hit a brick wall! I came undone emotionally, crying uncontrollably, embarrassingly at work, where sympathetic coworkers were basically saying I needed meat. It was time. I didn't, however give in until I went to Norway I added in goat cheese, then yogurt, then cream then butter, and boy did I feel better! I could handle the kind of energy endurance levels I needed for the mountaineering hiking I was doing in the northern most part of the country! It wasn't until I came home that I tried meat again separate from my husband when he went back, he gave in a about a week and a half before me. Instinctually we both knew it was right to start meat again. I know I'll forever eat meat because for my body to feel balance I truly believe I need it. I've since then had my son and been breastfeeding strong for over seven months and plan to do it as long as he allows! I'm grateful God allows us to eat meat and for the benefits we can take from it. I however never expect to take animals for granted. I love that we are put here on this earth together to watch over them and coexist together (my kitties) love!

Thankyou for sharing this truth and honest video!! I love you mr channel and keep it up, and you have a beautiful family!! God bless !

Hi, you are so eloquent and great at what you do. I want to do exactly what your're doing , but on my own way. I am here to hopefully shed some light into why your route to a PLANT BASE EATING regimen hasn't worked out for you. (YET).

Firstly, have you ever heard a coffee drinker say ; " i can't stop drinking coffee, I need i to function"? Well in that same way we hear most people who are "hooked' on something, whatever it is,- say something similar. This is mainly due to the withdrawals symptoms. They can last up to 3 weeks with most substances etc. So the first time you tried to go vegetarian and couldn't do it,, could have been due to your experiencing your body getting rid of the acidity of the meat and diary products that generate mucus in the body that eventually leads to so many dis-eases. I'm on my 7th month of not drinking alcohol, nor caffeine, nor nicotine, nor table sugar. My first 3 months were very challenging: I would get such strong headaches, but eventually they went away. and I won.

Like yourself, I have had my own challenges being vegetarian. In my case, it has been "social pressure" that I create for myself since I'm a pleaser and don't like to make people feel bad. So , when someone I love made an animal product dish, there I went. So have been 90% vegetarian that way, but always feeling that I was betraying my inner feeling that I SHOULD NOT KILL TO EAT.

Now, going back to you again. The second time you gave it a shot, you went RAW VEGAN. What is the problem with this ? Not every body can handle a RAW diet. It may be too harsh on your system. I'm not sure what kind of nutritionist was helping you but if you ever consider trying being a PLANT BASED EATER again, you may want to research Ayurveda, and what your Dosha is. Meaning , your body type. What you may need is a raw /cooked plant base approach. This is my case. Now I'm on my 1 week plant based eating mode again. I combine raw with cooked meals. During the day in order not to break the fast (( breakfast – horrible for the body!)) so drastically, I take just water with lemon or some healthy teas. In the afternoons, I take a fruit or veggie smoothie, making sure I'm combining them by their taste and chemical composition. I feel great !!! But ….there's a catch. I AM DISCHARGING MUCUS. If i didn't know what I know, i would drink that I was feeling sick because this is what we're told. However, i know my body is cleaning itself. I drink lots of water.

Lastly, consider the following. Our decision making is ruled on a 95% based on the beliefs deeply rooted in our subconscious mind. Even though you're a compassionate being who may be CONSCIOUSLY interested in not killing animals, or just not eating them to prevent their acidity, and mucus production in the body, your SUBCONSCIOUS mind may be telling you that you CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT animal products. ** Think about your childhood and upbringing and how many times you were told that by so many 'authorities in your life. ** If you ever happen to try to be a plant based eater again. you may want to reprogram your subconscious mind first. This can take 5 minutes a day for about 60 to 90 days. You can write statements like :

    1) My body has no biological indication that it was designed to eat meat: neither my teeth nor my intestines are designed to eat meat. My teeth are not
sharp enough bite through another animal's flesh and cut it up. My intestines are way to long to release dead flesh that lasts up to 8 days in the body and rots inside of me.

    2) My body produces its own protein, and gets the sufficient amount of external protein in the small amounts that come in the vegetable kingdom. I can get all my
enzymes, vitamins and minerals from the veggies, fruits and seeds.

To further reprogram your subconscious mind, and do your research, you may want to look at the work of Dr. Sebi. its all over the internet. And the work of the author and herbalist Andreas Moritz.

Finally, I have a question, what are the nutrients that you think you are getting from animal products that you are not getting from the plant world? And if you must eat animal products, but wish not to kill, why not eat chicken eggs, milk, and butter , etc ??

I hope this is helpful to you or anymore looking to make the transition to being a Plant Based Eater. As for me, This time I won't retract, but I know that in very special occasions I will have some animal products…. but they will be very rare, and not looked at as NUTRITIONAL but more as indulgence. Again, because I know how acidic they are, and how much mucus they produce in the body (( the cause of all illnesses ) I wont be indulging all that often.

    1Love,
    Roberto.

Understandable, the diet doesn't work for everyone, however there is no humane way to kill animals. Sure, there are more cruel ways than others, but at the end of the day, you've ended an innocent life so it can end up on your plate

There are several different vegan diets. Perhaps the one you were on did not work for you. Just as there are several different meat and dairy diets….and you came from a backround of a diet like that that didn't work for you…But when that happened you didn't say "omg I am never eating meat or cheese again".
Anyway, love your videos, and I get your updates all the time 🙂
Just didn't like this vid that kind of portrayed that veganism is one diet that didn't work when veganism is just the basic rule of (no animal products.)
Anyway, I have been vegan for almost 2 years, I am 8 months pregnant with my second child, and my almost 2 year old has been vegan his whole life. If I eat vegan junk food, I feel like poop, if I eat too much raw food I feel ehhh but if I eat a whole foods plant based vegan diet! I feel great.

i want to ask you vegetarians a question, aren't plants alive as well as animals, so when you say you don't want to kill living things does that just include animals , or does that include both animals and plants, because when you eat plants. something still dies, because plants are living things as well . they live and grow as we do, maybe not in the same way as we live and grow.. but they are still living and growing things as we are . so should we have a right to kill them, don't they deserve a right to live and grow as well as animals…?"

You dont need animals to live and i dont need to be in your body to know that. 😉

Its psychological. You think you need it but its wrong.

Omnivore means that you can eat meat and vegetables, it doesnt mean you need to meat (whereas vegetables, its necessary).

I did not realize Eating every single last part of that innocent animals flesh is paying homage? And because you do not feel well living off of a plant based diet (which there are many alternatives other than meat to help with the problems you were experiencing) you have the right to take another sentient beings life to to be at maximum capacity for your happiness? Also by making that decision you are harming the environment and your own body. You have also indoctrinated your children into eating meat without letting them grow up to make that conscious decision on their own. I do not scoff at the ignorant person who knows no better, who can not decipher correct from incorrect but when you have reached that state of awareness and you still decide to make the wrong decision then it is safe to assume you are a bad person. But aren't we all?
