Ingredients required: Tomato – 1 Kg, finely chopped/1 can of crushed tomatoes; Onion – 1 big, finely chopped; Garlic – 1 whole fig, finely chopped; Ginger – 1 inch piece, finely chopped; Few curry leaves; Dry red chillies – 2 no. Urad dal and Channa dal- 1 tbsp each; Mustard and Cumin seeds – 1 tsp each; Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp; Red chilli powder and Corriander powder – 1tsp each Garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp Salt to taste. Additional (optional) ingredients: Sugar – 2 tbsp; Shredded dessicated coconut – 1tbsp; Corriander leaves – 2tbsp, finely chopped.
