My tips for raising vegetarian babies & children. **Obviously I’m not a nutritionist but these are some things I’ve picked up along the way whilst raising my own children meat-free. I’ve included some examples of vegetarian iron and protein sources too!

This video is in collaboration with the lovely SJ Lungstrom who is a Mama of 3 who has been veggie since she was little, she’s raising her little ones on a mostly veggie diet (but not completely) and has shared some of her kids favourite veggie meal ideas over on her channel so please do go and have a watch and let her know you’ve come over from my channel. 🙂 https://www.youtube.com/user/TheSJLjungstrom.

Thank you for watching. ♡

Hi I’m Alex! I started writing a blog back in 2013 as a way to capture my thoughts, feelings and emotions as I married my childhood sweetheart and we had our first child. I’m now a Mum of two little boys (Ethan & Logan) and I’ve continued writing, photographing and videoing ever since as a way to remember all of the little details that make up this amazing journey of Motherhood.

I am a part of Channel Mum, a community of super friendly, real Mums on YouTube who like to share the honest face of parenting. You can catch up with our videos and find out what we’re all about over at www.channelmum.com.

I'm loving this "vegetarian" series of videos. I think these tips are great for everyone who is on a meat free or vegetarian diet. Not just parents. I think most people transitioning to meat free or veggie ask the same questions x

Really fab video Alex. I have been thinking a lot about vegetarianism and I’m going to make a conscious effort to eat less meat & make more veggie meals 🌱🙌🏻

I have been vegetarian since I was about 7 years old.I haven't raised my son as veggie and my husband isn't either! I just supplement the meat with quorn etc too.I'm not so good with avoiding the gelatine sweets though but good on you though! x

Loved this collab, on veggie but my kids arnt as there father isn't but as I cook then they eat 80-90% veggie etc. I did wonder when you said your eldest was 4 how it worked in schools, I never really thought about it as my daughter chooses her lunch with school every morning without me there, she's not fully veggie so it doesn't matter but wondered at 4 if you are raising fully veggie do they know what to chose? Xx

Thank you so much for this video. Me and my daughter are vegetarian and my husband isn't. I've really been worrying about her because she's just getting fussier with her food and won't eat most veg and lots of other things that she used to like she won't eat anymore. she's putting on weight fine and is big for her age and I give her vitamins so I need to stop worrying so much!

We sell Spatone at work and I always recommend it to people I love it! (Also it’s on a permanent 3 for 2 In Boots which is handy)

New subscriber over from SJ's channel! Lots of great ideas here. We're now raising our 5 boys as pescatarian because nut/egg allergies meant they weren't getting enough protein as vegetarians (they hated Quorn!) x
