They sure do look like the IKEA veggie balls, but I like the fact that these are OIL FREE. SOOOOO much better! Thank you!

Is the texture inside cakey or chewy? Dense or light and fluffy like bread?

Hey Hannah! Can you recommend a frozen substitute for the kale? Maybe frozen spinach? Or is it very important to use fresh kale?

Made these today-used spinach (they are kinda green) 😋 Thanks for the recipe-plan to use them for supper with pasta. I used a small scoop to form them, and baked them on parchment-they look great!

Do you think I could make a big batch and then freeze some of the balls to bake them some other time? Has anyone tried this?

Grounnd sage and bay leaf are key components to the Ikea Veggie Balls. You should try adding those spices! I added them to my recipe, tasted exactly the same!!! 🙂

Anyone know if rice flakes would work instead of oats? I don't think they're as absorbent but not sure what else would work…

Awesome recipe! I've had the real ikea balls and yours blow them out of the water. I make a batch of these every week. I have to hide them in the fridge from my non vegan husband and kids. 🙂
