The tropical fruit flavours from the ripe pineapple combined with soy sauce gives that umami flavour in the starchy gooey curry sauce. It is quite reminiscent of fish sauce without the strong smell. Your taste buds will be singing!

Thanks so much for this recipe. I was looking for something to make with soya chunks which I've never used before and this video was the one that I liked the most. I've just eaten it and it was delicious. I couldn't find Jicama here in Spain so I made it with turnip instead and also added green beans and at the last couple of minutes some zucchini. The sauce didn't turn out, it was too think so next time I won't put the corn starch, never the less I really liked the soya chunks which resembled tender meat. Looking forward to watching more of your videos. Greetings from Barcelona.

This looks so good, I'm going to try it today! I had a question…after you boil the soya chunks, do you just drain or do you also squeeze out the water? Thanks!

I had a REALLY good curry at a Chinese restaurant years ago that was nothing like an Indian or Thai curry. This is what it looked like! It must be the corn starchy gravy that makes it just right. I'm so glad I found this. I can't wait to try it.

This looks succulent, and it's always a pleasure to watch Boyfriendlovlie cook! I will be sure to purchase the ingredients for this dish this week, as curry stir fry is one of the best things to make for dinner in the bleak midwinter. Thanks for posting : )
