chimichangas are not necessarily needed to be fried. . I have seen some people deep frying and some shallow frying, some baking in oven and some just heating on a pan with a spoon of oil like we do rotis. .. it's completely upto u what u prefer. . using a tooth pick is not a bad idea as such as by doing that we can stuff more filling I guess as compared to traditional way

People say "this is not the mexican way" correction, this is not how your mom made it. Every mexican on different coasts make it different also. Not just her. I thought she did a great job

People complaining about how it's not fried or not done right. Just shut up. People have different tastes. What if you don't like fried foods. It doesn't have to be YOUR way. IT AIN'T YOUR VIDEO. What are yall. The freaking text book mexicans of cooking . So tired of seeing mexicans recipes and all these beaners think their experts about their food.

You made a baked burrito NOT a chimichanga. Deep fried is what makes it a chimichanga so just stop.

You fold the bottom in first and then the top, then the sides. That's how you fold it…no need for toothpicks. Just giving an easy way.

If you have to use tooth picks you have totally missed the point of a chimichunga.

She clearly doesn't know how to make a chimichunga – much less fold one.
