I just made this as chickpeas are my favorite, I had to sub in some italian style crushed tomatoes because that is what I had on hand and I used a jalapeño for heat. It is sooooo good and not heavy. My family loved it too. Thank you

i always wonder, why precook the chickpeas? why not let the cook in the curry itself? wouldn't that mean they take up more of the curry flavor?

I've done this for dinner (and the leftover I had for lunch at work the next day) – this is an absolutely wonderful and delicious recipe! I struggled to find a good chickpea curry recipe but I have to say, none compares to this one. This one is a keeper! Thank you so much for sharing this with us 🙂 Greetings from London! x

I tried this recipe and it worked very well. It is easy just that I used a bit less spice for our taste here. Thank you. I now know how to make a home made channa masala 🙂 In South Africa, Indian bread is called roti and we paired the dish with the roti. All tasted very good! Thanks again.
