    There is a lot of effort put in maling these also everyhing is steamed an a lotvof use of jaggery makes the food more nutritious

    Gujaratis also make paatraas… same thing…with colocasia leaves or arvi ke patte… only they don't use rice… they use besan or gram flour…

    We call it Sehna (North) and the Indian Caribbeans. We use Urrad/Mungdaal
    Very tasty snack!
